Rochester was named by Forbes magazine as the best place to raise a family in 2010. Rochester has a comparatively low cost of living and unemployment rate. For entertainment, Rochester area residents can visit the downtown area known as the East End District and stop into some of the many restaurants, nightclubs, and coffee shops in the area. Rochester hosts many cultural festivals throughout the year, including the Rochester International Film Festival, The Irish Festival, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Party in the Park, and the Cold Rush Winter Celebration.
